Froedtert buying doc practices, clinics from ProHealth Care

Modern Healthcare - - Late News -

ProHealth Care, a two-hospital system based in Waukesha, Wis., reached a preliminary agreement to sell 51 physician practices, several clinics and a partial ownership stake in an ambulatory surgery center to Milwaukee’s Froedtert & Community Health. Financial details of the transaction between the two not-for-profit Wisconsin healthcare providers were not released. A news release said the parties were still finalizing the purchase agreement. In addition, Froedtert will acquire ProHealth’s partial ownership stake in the ambulatory surgery center on the campus of Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls, Wis., which is one of three acute-care hospitals in the Froedtert integrated system. The center is now jointly owned by ProHealth, Froedtert and Aurora Health Care.
