Stan­tec plans to ac­quire health­care ar­chi­tec­ture firm

Stan­tec, an Ed­mon­ton, Al­berta-based plan­ning, en­gi­neer­ing, ar­chi­tec­ture and project-man­age­ment com­pany, said it signed a let­ter of in­tent to ac­quire An­shen and Allen, a health­care ar­chi­tec­ture firm based in San Fran­cisco. Stan­tec spokesman Jay Aver­ill said, “It will be an all­cash deal.” Last year, An­shen and Allen re­ceived an hon­or­able men­tion in Mod­ern

Health­care’s an­nual de­sign con­test for its work in trans­form­ing a va­cated Red­wood City, Calif., dot-com of­fice com­plex into a satel­lite out­pa­tient cam­pus of the Stan­ford Hos­pi­tal & Clin­ics sys­tem.
