An­drea Price was named pres­i­dent and CEO of a re­gional health sys­tem in Ohio owned by Catholic Health­care Part­ners, fol­low­ing her ap­point­ment one year ago as COO of the lo­cal sys­tem, Mercy. Price, 51, re­places Steven Mickus, who was pro­moted to a role as sys­tem COO for Catholic Health­care Part­ners, Cincin­nati. Mickus also re­tains the ti­tle of CEO of Catholic Health­care Part­ners’ north­ern di­vi­sion, an area that in­cludes Mercy and sev­eral other lo­cal sys­tems and hos­pi­tals. Price came to Mercy as COO last fall af­ter a job as ex­ec­u­tive VP and COO for Spar­row Health Sys­tem, Lans­ing, Mich. Vir­ginia Frank will

suc­ceed Blaine Dou­glas as pres­i­dent of Hol­ston Val­ley Med­i­cal Cen­ter, the largest hos­pi­tal in Well­mont Health Sys­tem. Frank, 62, will as­sume her post at the Kingsport, Tenn.-based hos­pi­tal on Sept. 7, Well­mont said in a news re­lease. In 2006, DeNar­vaez re­cruited Frank once again to St. John’s Mercy Med­i­cal Cen­ter in St. Louis, where Frank has held roles as ad­min­is­tra­tor of St. John’s Mercy’s Heart and Vas­cu­lar Hos­pi­tal, and as the cen­ter’s VP of op­er­a­tions. … David

Ameen was ap­proved as the new pres­i­dent and CEO of Lo­gans­port (Ind.) Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal in a vote by the hos­pi­tal’s trustees. Ameen, 59, since 2008 has been VP and ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor for Kaiser Per­ma­nente Kern County, Bak­ers­field, Calif., and pre­vi­ously was pres­i­dent and CEO of St. Charles Mercy Hos­pi­tal in Ore­gon, Ohio. Randy Peter­son now over­sees the op­er­a­tions of all of the sys­tem’s six hos­pi­tals, hav­ing added its Wi­chita hos­pi­tals to his du­ties. Of­fi­cials with Mil­wau­kee­based Aurora Health Care said Finley, 54, re­signed to take an­other op­por­tu­nity, which was not an­nounced pre­vi­ously and no fur­ther in­for­ma­tion was avail­able, a sys­tem spokesman said. The change was ef­fec­tive Aug. 2. Finley was tapped to lead the hos­pi­tal in Sum­mit in Jan­uary 2009, and over­saw its con­struc­tion and grand open­ing in March 2010. McVay was named CFO for HCA-owned Ocala (Fla.) Health Sys­tem. McVay, 48, leaves a role as op­er­a­tions CFO with LifePoint Hos­pi­tals, Brent­wood, Tenn., where he also served as a di­vi­sion CFO for the for-profit sys­tem. McVay takes over the role of Ocala CFO from Jeff Baiocco, who re­cently be­came the CFO for East­ern Idaho Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Idaho Falls, an­other sys­tem owned by Nashville-based HCA, an Ocala spokesper­son said. At Ocala, McVay will pro­vide di­rec­tion for fi­nan­cial op­er­a­tions and strate­gic plan­ning for the sys­tem.
