Scott victory in Florida governor’s race draws mixed reaction

We can now look to Gov. Rick Scott to solve the nation’s healthcare crisis (“Scott wins Florida governor’s race,” ModernHealthcare.com, Nov. 3). He knows how to run hospitals and doctors. He will get to the heart of the problem—efficiency and effectiveness—rather than who is going to pay for it.

I would expect with Florida’s higher-than-average Medicare population, the solutions found there will soon be a model and adopted in other states. I look forward to Scott turning the tide and bringing back America’s competitiveness. Once healthcare costs are under control, more jobs will be created here in the U.S. and less will be outsourced. To my fellow healthcare workers in Florida, we are watching you and counting on you to lead the way out of the healthcare crisis in America.
