Make consumers pay

Modern Healthcare - - Opinions Letters -

Regarding “Lower-income families more likely to put off care: study,” (ModernHealth, Nov. 22): Excellent. More proof that re-attaching the cost of healthcare to the consumer of healthcare is the only way to meaningfully reduce the bloated consumption of healthcare services and goods in the U.S., which is almost entirely responsible for the higher cost of healthcare in the U.S.

Now we just need to make Medicare a voucher system, and the market will finish the job! James “Jim” Craig
