Jef­frey Korsmo, a long­time Mayo Clinic ex­ec­u­tive, has been named pres­i­dent and CEO of Via Christi Health, a Ro­man Catholic-spon­sored sys­tem based in Wi­chita, Kan. Korsmo is ex­pected to start in Septem­ber, and he re­places Kevin Conlin, who an­nounced in Novem­ber that he was leav­ing to be­come ex­ec­u­tive VP for Coven­try Health Care, a man­aged­care com­pany based in Bethesda, Md. Jimmy Stu­art left the hos­pi­tal to be­come CEO of LifePoint’s Riverview Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter, Carthage, Tenn. … Dr. Theresa Bren­nan was named CMO of the Univer­sity of Iowa Hos­pi­tals and Clin­ics, Iowa City, ef­fec­tive July 1. Bren­nan joined the hos­pi­tal a decade ago and cur­rently serves as the clin­i­cal di­rec­tor of the car­dio­vas­cu­lar divi­sion. Dur­ing her time at the univer­sity, Bren­nan, 45, has held a num­ber of posts, in­clud­ing chief res­i­dent, chief car­di­ol­ogy fel­low and vice chair­woman for clin­i­cal pro­grams for the hos­pi­tal’s in­ter­nal medicine depart­ment. Bren­nan is board-cer­ti­fied in in­ter­nal medicine, car­dio­vas­cu­lar disease and in­ter­ven­tional car­di­ol­ogy.
