New Mexico hospital built in 16 weeks
The new $140 million Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Fla., is scheduled to open July 21 and is part of the Hollywood-based, fivehospital Memorial Healthcare System.
According to a news release, the 180,000square-foot hospital will feature a different theme on each of its four stories: sports, arts, games and dreams. The fourth floor will be reserved for oncology. The facility will have space for 204 licensed beds, six operating rooms and radiology services.
An elevated walkway will connect the new hospital to its parent facility across the street, 713-bed Memorial Regional Hospital.
