Re: “Wel­lPoint to buy Ad­van­tage plan CareMore Health,” Mod­ern­Health­care.com, June 8: As a busi­ness owner, I think this de­ci­sion is one that mem­bers and providers need to take a sec­ond look at.

Blue Cross out­sources its pro­duc­tiv­ity with much frus­tra­tion to all providers. They can’t ser­vice the providers that they have, and much of the time it takes four and five phone calls back to this or­ga­ni­za­tion in hopes of find­ing an ex­pe­ri­enced rep­re­sen­ta­tive. If this is a frus­tra­tion with providers, can you imag­ine how the next 56,000 mem­bers of CareMore will feel?
