Klima, 67, pres­i­dent of Dover, Del.-based Bay­health Inc., the par­ent cor­po­ra­tion of the Bay­health sys­tem, re­tired af­ter more than three decades with the sys­tem and one of its found­ing hos­pi­tals. In 1980, Klima was named CEO of Kent Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal, Dover, which merged with Mil­ford (Del.) Me­mo­rial Hos­pi­tal in 1997 to cre­ate the Bay­health sys­tem. In 2001, the sys­tem opened its third hos­pi­tal cam­pus, the Mid­dle­town (Del.) Med­i­cal Cen­ter. Terry Mur­phy suc­ceeded Klima as Bay­health sys­tem pres­i­dent and CEO af­ter Klima was named pres­i­dent of Bay­health Inc. in 2009.
