With wit of pen, Comphealth copywriter steals the show
Do you like where you work? Do you like it enough to write a poem about it? Well, 26 of the 100 healthcare companies named to Modern Healthcare’s 2011 list of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare did. As part of this year’s recognition program, we held a poetry contest. We chose five finalists who read their poems aloud at our Oct. 18 awards banquet in Chicago. The more than 500 executives in attendance then voted for their favorite poem. The winning poem was submitted by CompHealth, a Salt Lake City-based healthcare staffing company. Grant Olsen, a marketing copywriter for CompHealth, authored the poem, which is reprinted below. It seems this isn’t the first clinical trial for the plasminogen activator in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Lundbeck, the Copenhagen-based pharmaceutical company, owns the rights to the drug desmoteplase.
Desmoteplase isn’t the name used for the bat protein. Another study quite aptly named the drug Draculin.
