Deadline extended for trustee nominations
The nomination deadline for Modern Healthcare’s 2012 Trustee of the Year competition has been extended until Dec. 16. The 2012 awards, cosponsored by executive search firm Witt/kieffer, will honor four outstanding trustees or directors for their contributions to healthcare governance:
Trustee at a large hospital (defined as those with 100 or more beds).
Trustee at a small hospital (defined as those with fewer than 100 beds).
Trustee at a not-for-profit healthcare system (defined as a system- or corporate-level board).
Director at a for-profit healthcare company (defined as either privately owned or publicly traded).
To make a nomination, send Modern Healthcare a letter of no longer than five pages detailing the person’s background and accomplishments as a healthcare trustee or director. Letters also should include the number of years the trustee or director has been on the board; the name of the healthcare organization’s CEO; and the organization’s number of staffed beds, if applicable.
