Tenet taps Reynolds to lead hos­pi­tal op­er­a­tions

Tenet Health­care Corp., Dal­las, named Health Man­age­ment As­so­ci­ates ex­ec­u­tive Britt Reynolds its new pres­i­dent of hos­pi­tal op­er­a­tions, ef­fec­tive mid-jan­uary. Reynolds, 46, is tak­ing the po­si­tion to be va­cated by Dr. Stephen New­man, 61, who will serve as vice chair­man of the com­pany un­til his pre­vi­ously an­nounced re­tire­ment, planned for June. At Naples, Fla.-based HMA, Reynolds was se­nior vice pres­i­dent and divi­sion pres­i­dent with over­sight of 20 hos­pi­tals in seven states and led the in­te­gra­tion of sev­eral ac­qui­si­tions, ac­cord­ing to Tenet. On Dec. 12, HMA an­nounced it had pro­moted Kerry Gille­spie to the newly cre­ated post of ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent of op­er­a­tions fi­nance.
