Tenet taps Reynolds to lead hospital operations
Tenet Healthcare Corp., Dallas, named Health Management Associates executive Britt Reynolds its new president of hospital operations, effective mid-january. Reynolds, 46, is taking the position to be vacated by Dr. Stephen Newman, 61, who will serve as vice chairman of the company until his previously announced retirement, planned for June. At Naples, Fla.-based HMA, Reynolds was senior vice president and division president with oversight of 20 hospitals in seven states and led the integration of several acquisitions, according to Tenet. On Dec. 12, HMA announced it had promoted Kerry Gillespie to the newly created post of executive vice president of operations finance.
