Ninfa Saunders, president and COO of the Virtua system, stepped down in order to help her son recover from injuries he suffered in a car accident, the system said in a statement. The Marlton, N.J.based system credited Saunders with opening a $463 million replacement hospital in Voorhees, N.J., a partnership with Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, installation of an information technology system and maintaining healthy operating margins. Virtua did not identify an interim replacement for Saunders, who assumed the role in 2010. SUPPLIERS
Charles Alutto Mark Miller
will succeed as CEO of Stericycle on Jan. 1, 2013, as part of the company’s “long-term executive succession planning process,” the company said in a news release. Until then, Miller will continue to serve as chairman and CEO, a role he has held since 1992. Alutto, 46, joined the Lake Forest, Ill.-based medical waste management company in 1997 and was named president in 2010. Miller, 56, said in the release that he planned to be “an active member of the management team for years to come.”
