One must look at every diagnosis and evaluate how each is managed (not treated or cured) and compare treatment and results. There have been reports that cancer patients live longer here, that heart patients get more pacemakers, bypass surgery and more medications as well as testing, and survival of each kind of case is best in this country.
Specifically, should a 90-year-old man with diabetes get a $30,000 pacemaker and defibrillator? We do it here. The report information is political crap.
