Gilfillan finished atop the Modern Healthcare/modern Physician 50 Most Influential Physician Executives list in 2011 and finished No. 5 on this year’s list. Davis, 66, also will have the title of CEO of Geisinger Indemnity Insurance Co. and Geisinger Quality Options and will serve as executive VP of insurance operations for the Geisinger Health System, according to a Geisinger news release. Bruce Bodaken, and CEO, who is retiring at the end of the year. Bodaken, 60, has served as CEO since January 2000. Under his leadership, the company last year implemented a plan to cap its net income at 2% of revenue and return the rest to consumers. Markovich currently serves as the company’s COO, a role he has held since 2009.
