How we did it
Modern Healthcare’s Survey of Executive Opinions on Supply Chain Issues, the results of which are published here, replaced the annual Group Purchasing Organization Survey this year.
Rather than surveying the GPOs themselves, Modern Healthcare surveyed healthcare executives on their supply-chain challenges and opportunities given the growing importance of managing supply costs in today’s healthcare environment.
The 25-question survey opened April 30 and closed on June 29. It was open to executives of any healthcare provider organization that purchases medical supplies and services. Some 170 executives responded to the survey. Of those responses, 159 were analyzed to produce the results. Eleven responses were invalid or ineligible. For a breakdown of the types of organizations represented in the survey, see the chart on p. 28.
Modern Healthcare extends its thanks to all the executives who participated in this year’s survey.
