MedSynergies’ growth has come from the company’s evolution from strictly providing revenue-cycle management to becoming a partner for major healthcare organizations by providing physician alignment, building-management services and establishing population health initiatives.
“There’s no doubt the company’s growth has been driven in part by healthcare reform, but also by a solid understanding of the business needs required by hospitals and health systems to address the key stages in building a new healthcare delivery model,” company spokeswoman Ariel Herr told Modern Healthcare in an e-mail.
The company currently serves more than 7,400 providers in the U.S., and in 2011, MedSynergies processed 11 million patient visits through its systems.
