Cum­ber­land Phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals has grown by pro­vid­ing high-qual­ity medicine that ad­dresses un­met med­i­cal needs, of­fi­cials say. Cum­ber­land’s fo­cus is hospi­tal acute-care gas­troen­terol­ogy, a seg­ment to which it pro­vides three phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal prod­ucts. Last year, the com­pany added its fourth med­i­ca­tion, Hepa­toren, which Cum­ber­land is cur­rently test­ing and de­vel­op­ing. Ac­cord­ing to the com­pany’s quar­terly re­port filed Aug. 9, Cum­ber­land’s con­tin­ued growth is based on max­i­miz­ing the po­ten­tial of ex­ist­ing prod­ucts while adding new, dif­fer­en­ti­ated medicines. Specif­i­cally, the com­pany is fo­cused on com­pre­hen­sive mar­ket­ing and pro­mo­tional cam­paigns in the U.S. and ex­pand­ing its op­er­a­tions to se­lect in­ter­na­tional mar­kets, such as Aus­tralia and Canada. Cum­ber­land is look­ing into ex­pand­ing the use of its ex­ist­ing drugs by seek­ing out new data and prod­uct in­di­ca­tions.
