TriZetto Corp., Denver, appointed R. Andrew Eckert CEO of the healthcare information technology company.
Eckert, known for his experience in healthcare information management, operations, finance, strategic planning, product development and marketing, has served as CEO for several healthcare and software companies. He joins TriZetto from behavioral healthcare services provider CRC Health Group, Cupertino, Calif., where he has served as CEO since January 2011.
Aneesh Chopra, the former White House chief technology officer, and Glen Tullman, former CEO of electronic health-records developer Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, have been named special advisers to Silicon Valley-based cloud storage company Box. The company aims to overcome the industry’s reticence to use cloud-based services for healthcare information.
“It’s not enough to put existing healthcare IT solutions into the cloud,” said Tullman, now the managing partner of 7Wire Ventures, a Chicago-based venture capital firm, in a news release. “We need solutions that will help providers re-engineer their workflow processes and make data sharing in healthcare easier and more user-intuitive.”
