Looking for the ‘Best Places to Work in Healthcare’
Modern Healthcare’s seventh annual Best Places to Work in Healthcare recognition program is underway. The program is designed to identify and recognize the top workplaces in healthcare, those that go above and beyond to support their employees, empowering them to provide patients and customers with the best possible care and services.
On behalf of Modern Healthcare, the Best Companies Group, a Harrisburg, Pa.-based firm that conducts regional “best places to work” programs around the country, will conduct two surveys of healthcare companies that volunteer to participate. The first is a questionnaire for a participating employer. The second is a satisfaction survey of a company’s employees.
The program is open to all healthcare organizations and companies in all sectors of the industry with a minimum of 25 full-time employees. Participation is free for companies and organizations that complete the process electronically. Healthcare organizations and companies that participate in the program will receive a free summary report. Participants also will be able to buy a full assessment feedback report from the Best Companies Group. The deadline to register for the 2014 program is May 16. In July, Modern Healthcare will announce the names, in alphabetical order, of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare. A special supplement including the overall ranking of the 100 Best Places to Work will be published in the Oct. 23 issue of Modern Healthcare. Winners also will be ranked by company size: small companies (25 to 99 employees); medium-size companies (100 to 999 employees); and large companies (1,000 or more employees). New this year: Companies will be ranked on two lists, one in the category of providers/payers, and another in the category of suppliers.
