Limits on cancer center access just tip of the iceberg

Regarding “Denying access to big cancer centers may undermine narrow networks” (April 7, p. 14), don’t stop now! The article on restricted access to cancer care is the tip of the iceberg.

Just as with cancer patients, health plans omit other small populations with severe needs. Systems that care for large indigent groups, as well as the sickest of the sick, are being told the same thing their cancer-care providers are hearing. It’s all about cost.
