has been named CEO of Geisinger Health Plan, effective Aug. 4. The plan serves more than 470,000 members in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maine, New Jersey and West Virginia. He also will serve as CEO of Geisinger Indemnity Insurance Co. and Geisinger Quality Options, as well as executive VP of insurance operations for Geisinger Health System, Danville, Pa. Youso, 57, will succeed
Dr. Duane Davis
as leader of Geisinger Health Plan. Davis announced his retirement earlier this year.
Since 2005, Youso has served as chief administrative officer at Security Health Plan, a 225,000-member health plan in Wisconsin. Previously, Youso was VP of sales and community accounts with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota.
