Dr. Robert Kimball has been named president at the Urgent Care Association of America, a membership organization for urgent-care providers and managers.
Dr. Nathan Newman, He replaces who served as president from 2013 to 2015.
Kimball currently practices urgent care and occupational medicine at Statesville (N.C.) Urgent Care, part of Piedmont HealthCare, one of North Carolina’s largest physician-owned and directed multispecialty groups.
He began his career spending 19 years in a rural family practice, which included emergency room coverage, obstetrics and assisting with surgery in his native Halifax, Nova Scotia. He also served as a hospital chief of staff and as president of the Nova Scotia Medical Society.
