Healthcare giant McKesson Corp. has named Kathy McElligot CIO and chief technology officer.
McElligot’s appointment as CIO, CTO and executive VP is effective July 20. She succeeds Randy Spratt, who announced his retirement after 29 years with the San Francisco-based pharmaceutical distributor and technology solutions company.
As CIO and CTO, McElligot will be responsible for the company’s internal information technology operations as well as strategy related to the company’s healthcare technology products.
McElligot comes to McKesson from Emerson Electric Co., a global manufacturing company, where she has served as CIO since 2010.
