Jim Roosevelt will retire as CEO of Tufts Health Plan at the end of the year after leading the Watertown, Mass.-based organization for 10 years.
Roosevelt will step down Jan. 1 and be Tom Croswell, succeeded by the health plan’s president and COO. Roosevelt joined Tufts in 1999 as senior VP and general counsel.
Croswell joined Tufts in 2007 as COO and was given the additional title of president in 2013. He previously was senior VP of medical management and specialty businesses at Cigna, where he also served as president of the insurer’s dental, pharmacy and worker’s compensation businesses.
Roosevelt will remain an adviser to the company after his retirement.
