Dr. Shaden Marzouk has been named chief medical officer of Oscar, a New York-based health insurance company. She replaces Dr. Aran Ron, who had been with the company since September 2012.
Marzouk, 45, a neurosurgeon, most recently was senior VP of clinical operations at Dublin, Ohiobased Cardinal Health, a drug and medical products distributor. She previously served as chief of neurosurgery at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. She achieved the rank of major in the U.S. Army and served in Iraq.
