Affordable Care Act revamp would likely benefit entire industry

Modern Healthcare - - COMMENT -

Regarding the article “Hospitals warn of job losses, billions in cuts if Trump repeals ACA” (ModernHealthcare.com, Dec. 6), if repeal would be as devastating as indicated, it would seem to say that the current state is something of a boon. If that’s the case, the industry in general should be much healthier or at least have shown significant gains. The reality is that Obamacare was sold to the industry and the public using flawed, and sometimes intentionally misleading, arguments.

There are portions of the Affordable Care Act that are sound policy, but a revamp, rather than bringing about layoffs, service cuts and closures, will more likely benefit all.
