Dr. Laura Forese

Forese has been executive vice president and COO of New York-Presbyterian since 2015. New York-Presbyterian includes four hospitals, a physician services network of around 800 providers, and a community and population health division. Forese helped navigate the acquisition of New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 2016, among other acquisitions. After earning her doctorate and master’s in public health from Columbia University, Forese began her career at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, N.Y. She worked at Columbia University ultimately as vice chair of the orthopedic surgery department until she started at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 2003 as vice president of medical affairs. She is chair of the National Institutes of Health’s Clinical Center board and a trustee at Princeton University.
