Providers need to focus on real affordability

Modern Healthcare - - COMMENT -

The Democrats pass Obamacare with benefits that are unaffordable and driving premiums through the roof unless you qualify for Medicaid, which by the way is horrid (having practiced for more than 10 years I can attest).

Somehow I don’t recall healthcare insurers or markets being “unstable” before the Dems “fixed it.” And now the Republicans are “bad guys” who are “playing politics.”

Providers in general would in my honest opinion have more credibility in the healthcare debate if their positions were focused on real affordability (which of course can include their own fees) and less on pandering to the left’s desire to pretend that healthcare can or should somehow be free.
