Patients need to feel safe

Modern Healthcare - - Comment -

I have a vision where America’s hospitals are famous for being the most caring organizations in the world—where the highest quality care and services are delivered regardless of a patient’s race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or socio-economic status. They must be places where all Americans feel safe, assured, and yes, even loved during their most vulnerable moments. There will always be patients who have no advocates and have no one to speak out for them. We have to change minds and hearts within our systems to achieve the best care possible for all who place their lives in our hands.
