Mecum Sells $10 Million in Denver
Mecum’s Denver auction in June saw 75 percent of the vehicles that crossed the block going to new homes, for overall sales of $10 million. The top-selling vehicle of the auction was a restomod 1970 Barracuda convertible covered in Plum Crazy pearl paint and powered by a 528ci/650hp Gen 2 Hemi; it sold for $181,500. Restomods were hot in Denver, as a highly modified 1968 Mustang with a 650hp Dart engine and Tremec five-speed was the second-highest sale at $143,000.
