Me­cum Sells $10 Mil­lion in Den­ver

Me­cum’s Den­ver auc­tion in June saw 75 per­cent of the ve­hi­cles that crossed the block go­ing to new homes, for over­all sales of $10 mil­lion. The top-sell­ing ve­hi­cle of the auc­tion was a resto­mod 1970 Bar­racuda con­vert­ible cov­ered in Plum Crazy pearl paint and pow­ered by a 528ci/650hp Gen 2 Hemi; it sold for $181,500. Resto­mods were hot in Den­ver, as a highly mod­i­fied 1968 Mus­tang with a 650hp Dart engine and Tremec five-speed was the se­cond-high­est sale at $143,000.
