Orig­i­nal throttle ca­bles in ’69 and ’70 had a metal spi­ral wrap, and the ser­vice re­place­ments had plas­tic cov­er­ing. The ’69 ca­bles are dif­fer­ent from ’70 in how they at­tach to the fire­wall. Note that the ’68 en­gines used rods and not a ca­ble.
