“I used to draw with my dad when I was young. He would get up early while working on an architecture degree, and we would draw together. I was creating these visual representations of stories in my mind. I still do that…though bronze is my main material, I use most anything that the work requires: wood, glass, clay, photography, sterling silver. I think about the pieces and the meaning and then try to use a material that echoes that idea.”
