Smelly hair syndrome
How are your makeup brushes looking these days? You should be cleaning them at least once a week—makeup, dust, and other buildup can contribute to breakouts and other skin problems. An easy solution is to mix 2 parts all-natural soap with 1.5 parts olive oil, swirl brushes in the mixture until sudsy, rinse until water runs clear, and dry them on a paper towel overnight. It’s that stench that lingers even after you shampoo—you can blame overexposure to heat, sun, and humidity. Luckily, there’s a fast and easy solution: Mix 1 part baking soda to 3 parts water, apply the paste to hair, and leave on for 5 minutes. Rinse and condition as usual for restored, smell-good strands.
