Sweet and Sour Cit­rus Chicken Wings

SERVES 6 12 chicken wings 4 ta­ble­spoons or­ange juice 1 tea­spoon gar­lic, minced 2 tea­spoons or­ange zest 3 ta­ble­spoons soy sauce 1 jar sweet and sour sauce (Lee Kum Kee)

In a bowl, toss chicken wings with 1 cup mix­ture of or­ange juice, gar­lic, or­ange zest, soy sauce, and sweet and sour sauce. Mar­i­nate for 30 min­utes to 1 hour. Bake chicken wings at 375 de­grees for 25 min­utes. Heat broiler then broil chicken wings un­til skin be­gins to crisp. Serve with re­main­ing ¼ cup of sauce mix­ture. Source: Lee Kum Kee Kitchen

PRO TIP: To make your wings a party treat, use ranch, blue cheese, or chili gar­lic sauce as a dip­ping sauce. SERVES 6 1 pound shrimp, peeled, de­veined, and chopped into ½-inch chunks

(pre­fer 16/20s to 26/30s) 8 ounces light cream cheese ½ cup low-fat yogurt ½ tea­spoon old bay sea­son­ing 2 tea­spoons lemon juice 7 tea­spoons green onion, diced 4 strips un­cured nat­u­ral ba­con, crisped and diced (op­tional) 4 ta­ble­spoons sweet and spicy chili sauce (Kam’s) or 3 ta­ble­spoons hot

Use a mixer to blend soft­ened cream cheese with yogurt un­til smooth. Stir in chili sauce, green onion, diced ba­con, old bay, and lemon juice. Chill for 2 hours or overnight. Serve in a hol­lowed-out bread round or dish with pita chips and/or raw veg­gies. Source: Kam’s Ket­tle Cooked Kitchen
