Focus on: Vitamin K
WHAT IT IS:
Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin that finds and controls calcium-regulating proteins in the body, such as osteocalcin and matrix GLA-protein. The multi-molecular K is divided into groups of short-chain menaquinones such as MK-4, and longchain menaquinones such as MK-7, MK-8, and MK-9. It is not to be confused with its mono-molecular cousin, vitamin K , which is the primary dietary form of vitamin K found in leafy greens.
