The Niantic Annex of the York Correctional Institution closed in January 2016, saving $7.6 million per year.
The Fairmont building at the Bridgeport Correctional Center closed in July 2015, saving $2.1 million a year.
The Bergin Correctional Institution in Storrs shut down in August 2011, savings $12 million per year.
The Gates Correctional Institution in Niantic closed in June 2011, saving of $12.3 million per year.
The Webster Correctional Institution in Cheshire shut down in January 2010 saving $3.4 million per year.
