Learning and Prayer, Bread and Torah, Shabbat morning before services, 9-9:45 a.m. Rabbi Shapiro explores the Book of Jonah and the Five Megillot, with bagels and coffee.

Sunday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m. Hasia Diner, Ph.D., Steinberg Professor of American Jewish History, director of the Goldstein-Goren Center for American Jewish History at NYU, National Jewish Book Award winner, author of “Roads Taken: The Great Jewish Migrations to the New World and the Peddlers Who Forged the Way.”
The poetry of Yehuda Amichai, Israel’s poet laureate, with Rabbi Rona Shapiro, Saturdays at 1 p.m. Nov. 17, Dec. 15. Poems will be sent out to participants ahead of time; registration is necessary.
