Joseph Wolofsky, Sr., 91, of East Haven passed away Novem­ber 8, 2018 in the St. Raphael Cam­pus sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily. Hus­band of the late MaryAnn Ig­noto Wolofsky. He was born in New York City on De­cem­ber 13, 1926, a son of the late Henry and Freda Oren­stein Wolofsky. He is sur­vived by a son, Joseph Wolofsky, Jr. and his wife Su­san Bor­relli Wolofsky of East Haven, a daugh­ter, Donna Gal­le­gos of New Haven, a grand­daugh­ter, Rose Gal­le­gos of New Haven, a great grand­son, Carmela Rivera-O’Con­ner of New Haven, a sis­ter, Rhoda Berkowitz of Del­ray Beach, FL and sev­eral nieces and neph­ews. He was pre­de­ceased by a sis­ter, Ethel Ce­len­tano. Prior to his re­tire­ment Joe worked for Siko­rsky Air­craft, the Sar­gent Co. and the Burndy Cor­po­ra­tion for many years and was a vol­un­teer at the East Haven Se­nior Cen­ter for the past 25 years. He was a WWII Army vet­eran.

His fu­neral pro­ces­sion will leave the

830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven Mon­day morn­ing at 10:30. A Mass of Chris­tian Burial will cel­e­brated in Our Lady of Vic­tory Church at 11:00. En­tomb­ment will fol­low in St. Lawrence Ceme­tery.
