Voting panic

Middle Village: My mom, age 85, has been voting via absentee ballot for the past several years and has always received her ballot early. To date, no ballot! I have contacted the Queens Board of Elections and they claim ballots were mailed Oct. 10. To date, no ballot! The Queens Board of Elections workers were difficult to understand, as English was not their primary language, and when asked if I could bring Mom to her regular polling site to vote, they were confused. I will bring her there and raise holy hell if they deny her a vote. She has never missed an election — and never will. Where is her ballot? Kim Doremus
