B’klyn pit bull drama
COPS WERE called in to corral a rogue pit bull terrifying neighbors in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
The ferocious 150-pound canine snarled and snapped at NYPD Emergency Service Unit cops during a standoff on the stoop of a home on E. 51st St. near Avenue S in Mill Basin, the police said.
The police were called to the area about 10:15 a.m. after residents saw the dog — which had a padlocked thick metal chain as a collar — wandering around the neighborhood.
Cops had to shoot the pooch with a tranquilizer dart to make it drowsy enough to get a lasso around its neck and take it into custody.
Officials from Animal Care Centers of NYC took the dog and are trying to find its owner.
