Grisly bash on street leaves victim critical

A BRUTAL BEATING in Queens left a man fighting for his life early Sunday, according to authorities.

The 57-year-old was attacked as he left a family gathering on Decatur St. near Cypress Ave. in Ridgewood around 1:30 a.m., cops and witnesses said.

Officers found the man lying on the pavement with blood pouring from his mouth, police said.

Medics rushed him to Elmhurst Hospital Center in stable condition, but his injuries worsened and he was in critical condition later Sunday.

The man’s brain was enlarged by swelling, which cops believe could have happened when he hit the ground, sources said.

Police were still searching for suspects Sunday.
