Bill nomination in the bag: Andy

- Kenneth Lovett

GOV. CUOMO on Saturday still wouldn’t endorse Mayor de Blasio ahead of Tuesday’s Democratic primary, but said it doesn’t matter because Hizzoner likely has the race sewed up.

“I don’t think anyone should take anything for granted in an election — but I don’t think the mayor should be losing sleep about this election,” Cuomo told reporters at the city Labor Day parade when asked about the possibility of a last-minute endorsement.

“Races are about options,” he said. “So I don’t think this is a race that the mayor has to worry about.”

De Blasio faces former City Councilman Sal Albanese and a handful of other little-known competitors in Tuesday’s Democratic primary.

One-time friends, the governor and mayor have feuded for much of de Blasio’s time in office.
