Van jumper was evading police
A BROOKLYN MAN leapt out of a moving van to get away from police Saturday, cops said.
Matthew Bryan, 29, was driving a black livery van when officers pulled him over on Utica Ave. by Avenue N in Flatlands around 6:15 p.m., according to police.
The cops saw Bryan switch positions with a woman in the passenger seat — who sped off as they approached.
The van peeled away and turned left on Avenue J. Bryan jumped out at E. 49th St., sources said.
Medics rushed him to Kings County Hospital in critical but stable condition, authorities said.
The woman who was driving ditched the van at Avenue K and E. 43rd St. and escaped, cops said.
Bryan is facing several charges, including resisting arrest, reckless endangerment and driving without a license.
