2 sentenced in pimping of girl

TWO QUEENS men who kidnapped, raped and prostituted a 14-year-old girl have been sentenced to prison.

Supreme Court Justice Stephanie Zaro on Wednesday sentenced Differson Legrand to seven to 13 years in prison and Chilo Petit to 121/3 to 17 years. A jury convicted the men in August of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree rape and third-degree promoting prostitution.

The teen’s horrifying experience began when she ran away from home and had a sexual relationship with Petit, 36, between fall 2014 and June 2015, according to trial testimony. Petit brought her to Legrand’s home, prosecutors said, where the men locked her in a room and Legrand, 39, had sex with her, testimony revealed. Eventually, the teen escaped.
