Sanctions won’t stop nukes: Kim
KIM JONG Un vowed to complete his nuclear weapons program in the face of strengthening sanctions, North Korea said Saturday, while President Trump warned his rogue regime could face “overwhelming” military might.
The warring words came a day after North Korea launched a missile from its capital city that traveled 2,300 miles — over Japan — before landing in the ocean.
The North Korean news agency reported Kim (photo) crowed his country has nearly completed its nuclear weapons force and called for “allstate efforts” to obtain a “capacity for nuclear counterattack the U.S. cannot cope with.”
Trump said North Korea’s actions again showed “its utter contempt for its neighbors,” and “I am more confident than ever that our options are not only effective but overwhelming.”
