Assault susp a ‘good girl’
A RELATIVE OF an Upper East Side teen accused of pistol whipping, punching and robbing a taxi driver insisted she is a “very good girl” Saturday.
“I do not believe this happened,” said a woman who answered the door at the girl’s home. “She didn’t do any of this. This is fake news.”
Hawa Sakho and her companion Dean Rufli, both 16, beat and robbed their 28-year-old cabbie when he dropped them at Sakho’s home on E. 74th St. near Third Ave. early Friday, according to cops. The teens didn’t have the $8 for the ride, police sources said.
The Bonnie and Clyde wannabes punched the terrified driver in the face and Sakho pistol whipped him before snatching his iPhone, according to the criminal complaint. The shaken-up cabbie, who needed stitches for a cut above his eye, told the Daily News that Sakho led the attack. “The girl, she was crazy,” he said Friday. “She was acting so ghetto and all this stuff — she lives on the Upper East Side.”
The wayward teens were arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court Friday night and both ordered held on $7,500 bond. They are charged with robbery.
