MQFC President Tom Skevin loves the sound of music: “Dear Mighty, the N.J. Musical Chapter of the MQFC is holding a benefit concert on Sunday, Oct. 1, in hopes of raising some serious sirignanos for NJArts.net, the fine site run by entertainm­ent writer Jay Lustig.

“Some of the Garden State’s finest roots and folk musicians will perform, including: Shockenaw Mtn. Boys, featuring members of renowned N.J. band Railroad Earth; banjo wizard Tony Trischka of Fair Lawn; mandolin ace Barry Mitterhoff (formerly of Hot Tuna); and Lisa Bouchelle of Trenton.
