NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LAUNCH

“Book of Judas” author and Daily Newser Linda Stasi and “The Cuban Affair” writer Nelson De Mille figured they’d kill two birds with one stone by letting the other tag along to their respective book release parties and promote their own new tome. But last week, when Rao’s opened to do an unprecedented, intimate lunch launch for Stasi’s book, there were reports that it was De Mille’s launch party. Then on Tuesday, when De Mille footed the bill for his launch party at the Yale Club, it turned into a double-dip for Stasi, who basically got to launch her book again. Both books are now in stores.
