‘Killer hubby’ busted before in slash
AN ENRAGED man who stabbed his ex-wife to death on a Bronx streetcorner had been arrested before for slashing a former girlfriend, sources said Tuesday.
Victor Garo was ordered held without bail on murder charges after the deadly attack on Adalgisa Garo. He stabbed her about 20 times, creating a bloody spectacle as dozens of children were headed to a nearby school, witnesses said. In 1998, Garo, 50 (photo), was busted for cutting his then-girlfriend’s abdomen, ear and back, sources said. The case was sealed.
Adalgisa Garo, 44, and her ex were arguing as they left a building in Morrisania about 8 a.m. Monday, witnesses told cops. He got a knife from his car, chased her and butchered her, authorities said. “He did not stop stabbing her until the blade broke,” Bronx Assistant District Attorney Kathryn Falasca said.
